Sunrise on the Bayou (2021) was commissioned by The United States Air Force Band, Colonel Don Schofield, Commander and Conductor.  The work is featured as part of their "Hope Arises Project", focusing on encouraging community engagement after the pandemic.   The work is for string orchestra with percussion and a solo accordion.  The solo accordion part is optional and can be alternatively performed by flute, clarinet or trumpet.
