Titilayo and Yona, the opera

Against the foreboding backdrop of the Indian Removal Act, a passionate love ignites between a Cherokee warrior and an enslaved West African girl. This opera unveils their battle against societal norms and looming political forces that seek to erase their identities. Their forbidden love challenges the oppressive machinery, highlighting the deep fractures in a society divided by prejudice and fear.
